Welcome back to VOCALOID OF THE WEEK! This week's Vocaloid is one of my favourites, the also popular GUMI!

Gumi, a close runner-up to Miku's popularity, is Internet Co.'s most successful Vocaloid. She was released in June 2009 for the VOCALOID2 engine. She received an English update for the VOCALOID3 engine, and also has several VOCALOID4 updates. The software you buy is called Megpoid, (example: MEGPOID ENGLISH) but the Vocaloid's name is Gumi, a childhood nickname of her voice provider, Megumi. She was the second Vocaloid released by Internet Co., and she's supposed to have a more 'retro-futuristic' approach and design compared to Camui Gackpo and his software Gackpoid. She has her own video game, Megpoid the Music, but it never became as popular as Project DIVA.
Gumi's voice is one of my favourites, she is mature and very natural-sounding compared to other Vocaloids. Her English voicebanks' pronunciation and sound are great and one of the best compared to other originally Japanese Vocaloids' english voicebanks. She has a good range.
My opinion on GUMI:
Okay, the information above might be a bit biased since I love Gumi so much. Her voice is just. SO. GOOD. She was actually the first Vocaloid I googled, and led me to finding out what a Vocaloid really was. I discovered her through the song Echo.
